Frank Sinatra Mother
Who was Frank Sinatra's mother?

Sinatra was born to Italian immigrant parents in 1915. His mother was named Natalie Della. She went by Dolly. Her maiden name was Garaventa. Natalie Della Garaventa emigrated with her family from Genoa, Italy, to the United States, eventually settling in New Jersey.

Dolly Sinatra and Antonio "Tony" Sinatra were married in 1914, and Dolly gave birth to Frank Sinatra in 1915.

Dolly, who involved herself in the local political scene in Hoboken, N.J., helped her husband find work as a firefighter, a job in which Mr. Sinatra remained for many years.

Dolly Sinatra was killed in a plane crash in 1977, the crash happening in Southern California on the San Gorgonio Mountain.
