Frank Sinatra Father

Who was Frank Sinatra's father?

Sinatra was born to Italian immigrant parents in 1915. His father was named Antonio Martin Sinatra, and often went by Tony.

Antonio (Tony) Sinatra came to America from Italy in 1903. He was Sicilian. After arriving in the United States, Antonio Martin Sinatra had a series of jobs, including a stint as a professional boxer. While a box, Antonio went by the alias Marty O'Brien.

Sinatra, fighting as O'Brien, eventually had to give up boxing after suffering broken wrists. He joined the Hoboken, N.J., fire department in 1927. Later, Antonio opened a tavern called Marty O'Brien's, using his boxing alias.

Anthony Martin Sinatra died in 1969 after suffering a heart attack.
